Jazz Combo Mambo is an original jazz combo composed originally as an assignment/final
project for my jazz composition lessons. This piece was written to broaden my composition skills and portfolio by stepping out of my comfort zone and into the world of jazz from being a more classical composer. The World Premiere of this piece was on December 2nd, 2024 @ the Colorado State University Hoag Recital Hall in Pueblo, CO. Performed by select students from the Colorado State University Pueblo’s Jazz Ensembles, led under the direction of Dr. Ryan Van Gilder.
